Save yourself and STAY away from RAIN ISP - Worst Server On The Planet

On the 3rd of July 2021 at 12:49 pm, I received an email from rain confirming my 5G router order which was delivered and activated on the 8th of July 2021. Upon activation of my router, I was disappointed to realize that the 5G connection was not working at all. As an IT professional I did everything in my power to try and remedy the situation to no avail, so I decided to call rain on the 9th of July 2021 and the consultant assisting me informed me that the SIM card I had been given belonged to someone else and that rain would deliver. new sim card the following day. I accepted that mistakes happened and waited until the 15th of July (NOT THE FOLLOWING GN DAY AS PROMISED) - in which I decided to cancel my order completely as i couldn't carry on for so long without an internet connection. So I sent rain an email to confirm my cancellation and they said they apologize and would come to collect the router the following day and they definitely kept that promise and collected the router on the 16th of July 2021 after having been unable to deliver my sim card for a week.

Now that the router is gone and I need my money back so that I can move to another service provider - I promptly asked for a refund in which they said they would pay once the router has arrived and been processed. I had to wait till the 23rd of July for Rain to confirm the router's arrival, then which I was asked for my account details which I sent an hour after receiving the email request.

Today is the 6th of August exactly 2 weeks later - after 7 calls and 3 emails, I still have not received my money back. Every time I call the consultants they keep informing me that they have escalated the issue to the finance department - at what point do the escalations stop and someone picks up a phone and calls the finance department to process my refund?

I have tried everything humanly possible to get my money back and at this point, i don't know what to do. The lesson I have leant is that Rain only cares about you before you pay them money, after that you are all on your own.
