Rain will rain on you

Was using rain, rain is a month to month contract. I stop using the network before month ended due to the poor connection I was receiving. I am told that i owe rain R2900, i called but an answer cant be given as to why, as i know its a month to month contract.

How can i be charged on months i didnt use their services??
