Rain takes advantage of black people. Rain disables ability to opt out of their service. Rain violates consumer rights and POPIA.

I am currently disgusted by the ******** and opportunist behaviour that the Rain company has exhibited since my mother's passing. After my mother passed away, I reported to rain around Dec 2022 that she had passed away and that they needed to close the account. Rain did not close the account. Instead, they sent me debt collectors few months this year, to collect money for a service that was never used. Who were they charging when I sent them my mother's death certificate? To make matters worse, I requested their debt collector to connect me with the people that instructed them to collect money from me. No response! I eventually paid them and requested them to close the account. Still no response. Here is the most ******** part, they disabled the ability for me to opt-out of their service. Who does that? Is that allowed per POPIA? Is that allowed per consumer rights act.

These are bad opportunist companies that take advantage of black old people simple because most of them are not literate. Its even worse to take advantage of "dead" people.
