RAIN STOLE MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT + ZERO SUPPORT - AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I got the Rain wifi router because I was desperate for internet. Biggest mistake ever.
Turns out the nearest Rain tower is 16km away from me so the router didn’t work AT ALL. Dead signal. I called Rain multiple times begging for help and every agent just told me "we can't help you".
Then it got worse. Rain is NOT a contract. So if I don’t pay for the service, don’t give it to me. Don’t force it down my neck by taking money from my account without my permission.
I NEVER gave them my banking details. I NEVER signed for a debit order. Yet they took money anyway.
I returned the router immediately since it was useless, and they promised me a full refund. That was over 3 weeks ago. Now every time I follow up they just give me stories and excuses. No refund, no accountability.
This is daylight *******. They sell you a product that doesn’t work in your area, ***** money from your account without consent, and then ghost you when you ask for your money back.
Rain are *****sters. Do NOT give them your money or your bank details.

You state the charge is for July on a postpaid SIM. However:
1. I never authorized postpaid or gave consent for debit orders.
2. I never provided Rain with my banking details. Where did you get them from?
3. I called you as soon as you took the money from my account. I was promised a refund nonetheless. You then said it is against company policy to schedule a cancellation in the middle of the month, which was when the ******** deduction from my account took place. You promised me that as soon as the router is fetched you will process the refund IMMEDIATELY.
I kept my end of the deal and returned the router. Why can you not keep yours?
Do you know that in South Africa a verbal agreement is as tangible as a written agreement?
Do you know that what you are doing is ******* and unprofessional?
Do your clients know you ***** their banking details behind their backs to later ***** money from their bank accounts without their consent?
