RAIN SERVICE + NO DELIVERY + NO 3RD PARTY + DISABLED **************

On 5 March 2026 I decided to purchase internet Wifi for my wife. On 5 March 2026 Rain contacted me back. After talking to the sales person I entered into an agreement for uncapped wifi at a speed of 30mbps. The value of the transaction was R649, however a discounted price was offered to me for the value of R102.00. On acceptance of the deal (paying by ABSA Credit Card" I informed the sales person that it needs to be delivered to my wife and he assured me that this would not be a problem. I informed the sales person that I am buying the device for my wife who currently resides in Randburg, I live in Vanderbijlpark. I forwarded my wife's working address "Hoerskool Randburg" where the delivery should take place. On Friday 6 March 2026 the delivery took place between 10 and 12 and then my wife informed me that she could not sign and receive the parcel from CCD Couriers as it needed to be a 3rd party delivery, that was previous arranged with the sales person of Rain. Talking to the representative of CCD Couriers he explained that the delivery can not take place as he did not have the authority to deliver the parcel to a 3rd party. On Monday 9 March 2026 CCD Couriers called me and explained that I need to send and email to Rain to arrange for a 3rd party delivery and from there side they would do the same. I could not get hold of Rain via telephone and had to trouble my assistant to contact Rain via Whatsapp after hours, as I am blind and I can not type a whatsapp message. She experienced a hostile attitude from the Rain representatives, however she succeeded in arranging for Rain to contact me on 10 March 2026. This morning 10 March 2026, a representative of Rain contacted me. I have never experienced such a rude representative of a company that needs to perform in order to conclude a transaction. I explained to her my situation and she rudely interrupted me and told me that it is not possible to arrange a 3rd party delivery. She then noted that she believes that I am disabled "blind" and therefore need a representative to sign on my behalf. I then again explained to her that the device needs to be delivered to my wife in Randburg and not to me in Vanderbijlpark as my wife is in need of the device and being a caring husband I paid the device for my wife. She kept on talking and would not give me the opportunity to speak. I insisted to keep on speaking and she raised her voice.

I hereby cancel my transaction with Rain. I furthermore demand that Rain refund me as they were extremely eager to take my money, yet have excuses to perform and are ultimately rude on top of it all. I will not advice any abled person to do any transaction with Rain and furthermore, I am urging all disabled people not to have anything to do with Rain as they are utterly discriminating against disabled people.
