Rain - poor service

Because I live in a small town (Port Alfred) I made sure to check the coverage map before I spent R479 on Rain's unlimited 24/7 sim card and waited in anticipation for the sim to arrive so that I could get away from Telkom's incredibly frustrating fluctuating speed. Rain promised 10mbps constant line speed. The sim arrived within the expected delivery time and then the big disappointment came with speed tests showing 0.81 and 0.56 Mbps download speeds?! Of six tests over two days the highest speed I recorded was 4Mbps for a few seconds? How bad are you when Telkom kicks your ass? The worst was however still to come. I logged onto there website and lodged a complaint on the 6th May at 15:59 and guess what? I received a reply 13 days 23 hours and almost 30 minutes later?! So Rain's support service is clearly as slow as their network and the R500 I spent on them clearly means nothing to them irrespective of the fact that I was going to move my four other ISP connections to them. We accept such bad service in this country that people like this can get away with it.
