Rain Mobile 5G

I have been with rain mobile since inception. Literally bought my SIM cards from the first day they launched. Then delivery was late. About a week late and I am in the North of Pretoria. After receiving it, rain extended the FREE data days as an apology. A big plus. Their call Centre by then was mixed bag, but then this was with newly employed and rain was new. After activation till today, I have received nothing but excellent reception in different locations.

Then came 5G. I ordered my sim and modem on Monday morning and Tuesday morning it was delivered by RAM. That’s real service. The sim took about 1 hour for activation. Remember your sim is Rica’d on delivery. Once activated I have received nothing but excellent network with tests showing north of 200mbps although my house is NOT supposed to be covered by 5G.

This company deserves our support. The modem is a bit pricey at R3450 but for unlimited data, that’s a small Patrice to pay. When ghe big networks eventually launches their 5G, surely the price will come down but in the area I am leaving in, we have no fiber,no VDSL and data access is only via mobile devices, this RAIN mobile have been a lifesaver.

The data plan will set you back at R1000 per month including VAT and no throttling or shaping.

Google unlimited mobile data and realize, they are the only one offering such. MTN offers 200GB on LTE for that price.
