Rain is trying to take money from account even after I canceled the contract
Good day,
I cancelled my rain sim on the 30th of September 2022.
I then received an sms that the last billing is the 1st of September 2022.
I have been getting messages that rain is trying to debit my account. Why because I cancelled the contract?
I logged into the rain website and it says I owe R479 and that the next debit date is the 1st of November 2022, how, why?
I called two times, the consultants could not help me and promised to escalate the matter but until now I have not received any communication from Rain, instead they keep trying to debit from my account.
The account is canceled and closed, I am not using rain now, what should I pay for?
One of the consultant told me that the kind of contract I have is one where I use then pay later. That is not true, I told her as well. Before I could use the services, I had to pay R479. I have been paying since, there has never been any instant where they did not debit.
Please get this sorted and stop trying to debit. I do not owe rain.
My number is ***
We're really sorry your rain experience hasn't been as good as you expected.

When I took the contract in December 2021 there was an upfront payment I paid which was R479.
From the 1st of January 2022 R479 was deducted again and there has never been a month where there was no debit that was went.
What was the upfront payment if your billing is post-paid?

Now you are telling me thst it was put my account on a positive balance. Why can't it be used to settle September billing if it did not serve the purpose for December? Why are we not told this before we proceed with the contract? This means there are hiden costs in having a rain contract which are used to trap us into not canceling the contract.

You are not address all the question/concerns I mentioned.
1. I was told that in order for me to utilize data in December, I had to pay the amount. This could simply mean, I paid to have data in December.
2. If the December payment was for me to have a positive credit, what happened to it then since it did not cover December? If it did not cover December, then it means I have positive balance with rain. Rain owes me money and Rain should use the money they owe to me to cover the shortfall for September.
It cannot be a positive credit that just disappears, what happened to it?
