rain is terrible

Terrible absolutely terrible!!!

When I logged a call back to sign up I got a call back within less than 5 minutes, modem was delivered quick quick, set up was easy peasy.

Now I am trying to cancel and NOBODY is getting back to me.

The rain website stipulates that your month to month connection is active until you return the modem, but if nobody at rain is getting back to me, how can I know where to return the modem to?

******** absolutely ******** and such a maga let down in service

Hi Adrian N.

We're really sorry your rain experience hasn't been as good as you expected.

We're going to get on this asap.

Thank you.

Following my initial review posted, Kapeso from rain called me back on the same day to apologise for what transpired.

As an act of apology from rain, Kapeso offered me cancellation, quick pick up via courier from my address, plus a full refund as she mentioned that she noticed that my monthly debit of R995 already went off. She also mentioned that she saw on my profile that I contacted rain more than a month ago already for cancellation and that they did not get back to me, so this courier pickup from them amd full refund was rain accepting responsibility.

Today, Tsegopas called me back from rain. Same as Kapeso, she noted that all their calls are recorded for quality and training purposes.

Tsegopas argued that I was not liable for a full refund and that she did not see any notes made by Kapeso in this regard. I explained to Tsegopas that I neither asked for a courier pickup or a full refund, but that it has been made to me on behalf of the company.

The internet service was immediately cut after the call. I got an email advising that the service will be terminated at the end of my bill cycle, which technically is the end of this month (5 days from today) or by 20 September, which is the debit date on which I paid for the service.

I advised Tsegopas that I was made an offer by the company, which I accepted, and if I don't receive it that I will proceed with legal escalation.

What is really annoying is that I have to go through this inconvenience because the company is delivering really poor service.

This is yet another example of the sickly poor service delivery one can expect from a South African company.

NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL - Big thumbs down

And then Tsegopas from rain just called me back again to advise that she will put in a request for the service to be cancelled with immediate effect.

I told her that this already took place and that I am fine for with that.

She then proceeded to ask me if I can send the modem back to them myself or drop it off at a rain store, so I once again reiterated to her that Kapeso from rain OFFERED a free kick up and OFFERED a full refund and I simply ACCEPTED and now FULLY EXPECT it.

What a horribly poorly run operation!!!

I advised Tsegopas that the cancellation button on their app did not work and that rain ignored my emails to them.

I strongly discourage anyone from dealing with this outright poor service delivery company.
