Rain is **********!!!!

I bought a simcard in 2022. Only used for a few months and paid every month. I struggled with coverage and logged query, without any problem resolved. In September I stopped using my simcard. I stopped paying the rain card from my bank as for I did not use it anymore and there is no contract. If you do not pay you have no service. After 5 months I get a bill for outstanding amount of R2455-00. When I contact them I am informed this is not month to month. This is a contract. I said I did not sign a contract then was told there is no contract. I explained I did not use the service. The account was suspended!!! Why then must I pay for it. I WANT TO CANCEL THIS. Was told I cannot cancel it before I pay the R2445. So what do I need to do???? The charges accumulate monthly!! This is not as per advertised...month to month!@
