Rain is an Absolute Joke – Zero Reliability, Zero Accountability

After years of Rain’s incompetence, I can confidently say they are the worst ISP in South Africa. We signed up for RainOne, which included two "free" SIM cards—except they never worked properly. Calls dropped constantly, SMSes failed, and customer service did nothing despite multiple complaints in-store and over the phone. Their final excuse? "We don’t have to maintain free SIMs." Then why include them in a paid contract? When we finally cancelled (after multiple ignored requests), we returned the router in person, with a witness, and were assured our numbers would stay active until the final payment. Another lie. Months later, our SIMs were cut off without warning, killing my business line and my boyfriend’s primary number. Now, Rain refuses to fix it, claiming "the contract is cancelled"—even though their own staff promised otherwise. The Bottom Line: SIMs were useless from Day 1—Rain doesn’t care. Cancellation is a ****—they ignore requests, then break promises. Customer service is a joke—no solutions, just empty excuses. If you enjoy paying for a service that doesn’t work, being **** to, and treated like garbage, then Rain is perfect for you. Otherwise, run far away.
