Rain Internet, A Masterclass in Empty Promises and Poor Delivery
Rain Internet has proven to be one of the most disappointing service providers I’ve ever dealt with. You pay a premium price with the expectation of stable speeds and reliable connectivity, yet what you actually receive is the complete opposite. I’ve logged countless complaints through their chat system, only to be met with generic AI responses that go nowhere. If you push hard enough and demand to speak to an actual human being, someone will eventually call you — but that’s where the progress ends. Every conversation ends the same way: “We’ve logged a ticket, technical will follow up.” And then nothing happens. I’ve had more than ten tickets opened over the past six months, each one followed by the same empty reassurance and zero improvement. To make matters worse, I now receive WhatsApp messages saying they’re “aware of a problem” and that issues “will be fixed soon.” These messages have become nothing more than recycled excuses with no real action behind them. At this point, I’m counting the days until Starlink becomes widely available in South Africa, because it will be the final nail in the coffin for Rain’s consistently terrible service. Save yourself the frustration, the wasted time, and the wasted money. Rain Internet is simply not worth it.
