Rain doesn’t work during OTHER AREAS load shedding when I DO have power

I totally understand that rain towers don’t work during load shedding BUT I expect my rain to work when it’s not load shedding!

A friend and I both have rain 5G and both of us have an issue with our routers connecting to towers that are not in our suburb but a different suburb, and this means when we have power we don’t have internet and when we have internet we don’t have power!

Why does it not search for an available tower that is actually working, instead of not working at all because its chosen tower is off? There are plenty of towers in the area.

I have requested that Rain install an outdoor CPE router to face the requested tower that is on the same grid as our houses in order to alleviate the problem but they just keep telling me they’ve reset the network and it should be working (well of course if you wait 2 hours it works because that area isn’t in load shedding anymore!)

I am going to have to cancel my rain if it doesn’t work when I DO have power.
