Rain are *******!
The level of service is beyond atrocious! I’ve recorded data over the past few months as proof that Rain are throttling my internet. During the day it’s kind of acceptable with speeds around 30mbps, but as soon as we get to around 5pm i have speeds of around 2 to 3 mbps. I’m paying over R1000 p/month for 100mbps+ with an outdoor 5G router…now here comes my issue. When i do speed tests at around 1AM i at times get speeds over 200 mbps. Their network is saturated and the infrastructure can not cope, but they continue having specials to entice more clients! #fedup #rain5G

17 Jan 2025, 17:06Ok, so after waiting almost 2 weeks for a reply I get a call from Rain after having to resort to coming on HP. So a kind lady calls me back and says she’s had feedback from technical and it’s bad news. I’m informed everything is in order, router is working and connected to the correct tower and the lan cable is fine. I am then informed that at peak hours in the evening there too many people connected to that tower causing my slow speeds (2mbps) where at off peak times i get up to 200mbps! What absolute BS! Do not go with Rain if you want to stream or game in the evenings! #finished&klaar #rain5g @rain… now looking for a better service provider that can give me constant speeds at around 100mbps for R1000 p/month
