Rain and their friend, Nudebt are a bunch of ********s.

Using misleading advertising about their month to month (no contract basis) deal, they hook unsuspecting people with their supposed lovely fast speeds and connectivity.

During loadshedding (in 2021 we were in stages between 6 - 8), I had ZERO connectivity, ZERO, nothing! I called in, spoke to a consultant who then told me they have NO battery backups at the towers and a big maybe by the end of the year (this call was mid-year). I clearly explained that during loadshedding is when I needed to be connected the most - nope not RAIN. So, if I don't get the service I am paying for, I just moved to another provider who could provide connectivity during loadshedding (Vodacom) and I must say, world of difference. These are guys who know what they are doing, unlike Rain.

We didn't need to pay as we paid in advance right from the beginning + it's a month to month, like Rain advertises right?? Wrong, they started hounding me for "monies owed to them", then got their sidekick ******** friends to start sending emails to my work address that I have NEVER supp**** them or registered with or even consented to (talk about contravening the POPI Act).

Rain can clearly see I never used data or their useless offering after this, never. I switched to Vodacom, happy since, never look back. This is why people like Rain lose market share - for reasons I am stating right now. I'm not the only one, my friend had exactly the same experience - she said she battled to leave Rain and they did exactly the same thing - harassing her with calls and emails etc. stating she owed them money etc.

The other day I...ME called THEM, spoke to a lady and told her my story - she said ok, I will escalate and get my manager to phone you. STILL WAITING Nudebt / Rain, whatever you are.

My honest advice - don't ever touch this so called "provider" - they are ********s and will never leave you alone. Be very wary /careful as all will be fine once you've signed up, the **** starts when you want to leave them due to their ****py service and useless connectivity. And you will, because they are not in the same league as their counterparts in terms of service, friendliness or quality.
