R4000 for a ****** rain router…pathetic

I have been with rain for 5 months ,i feel ****** when getting the router never was i told about the R4000 router payment i feel it is a hidden cost .beginning of this month i was a victim of theft and my router was ******..i called rain hoping they would give me a new one and ill continue with my subscription but to my shock i had to pay R4000 for cancellation or replacement ..not even a payment arrangement can be made for this.where am i supposed to get R4000 to pay for something that i wasnt made aware it costs that much ,i would have opted for a sim only if i knew the router costs R4000.rain has no sympathy none. i lost a few items too and ontop of that i must pay R4000 i also cannot cancel this subscription with my bank . I thought this was a month to month and i can cancel anytime but no.
