NEW SYSTEMS NEEDED!!!!

Rain and Ram need to update their policies and procedures. After waiting 2 weeks to get correspondence back from Rain to replace a router, we finally got confirmation. We do not have a new account and have been using Rain for a wifi service provider for over a year. The router is a REPLACEMENT but we still need to jump through hoops to verify ourselves upon delivery. I can understand this when you get your first router and start your contract with a provider that they want all the information on record. Proof of address, ID document etc. THIS IS A REPLACEMENT. Furthermore after showing the ID required we cannot receive it as we don't keep a proof of address printed out at the residence. I don't understand how this system work.

1. IT IS A REPLACEMENT - not a new account 2. We provided you with an ID of the person receiving the router 3. You are delivering it to the actual address where the account is from with the person on the property whom have been using the rain account for over a year, yet you still want a print out of a proof of address.

I do understand the POPI act and the difficulty of certain things. But please relook how you deal with these deliveries. We are in the 21st century where 99% of things in households are paperless. You don't accept an electronic version of anything but require the print out? Nobody receives their w&e bills on paper anymore and no one gets print outs of their bankstatements anymore everything happens via email or on apps. Secondly - please also look at this from a consumers perspective. It is not our first router, it is a replacement router, thus all this information and verification is already on your systems. Thirdly reassess this entire procedure as I think it might be costing RAM as well as RAIN a pretty penny to drive back and forth in order to achieve their deliveries with residence not being able to provide "proof" enough according to your systems. It's a bit ridiculous. If you can provide a form in which all these documentations (if not available in paper form on delivery) can be emailed, sent uploaded etc onto a platform it will help not only the customer but also the delivery people of RAM which need to then drive back and forth to get a package delivered over multiple days.
