Month to month contract is deliberately misleading

I signed up for rain data services last year. There ads where great and the month to month option was inviting.

Unfortunately this offer is deliberately miss leading to consumers. The month to month does not refer to a service that is renewed each month by virtue of payment of the service , it means that you have an option to cancel each month and it is an ongoing subscription.

The telecom consultants have an answer for every question regarding this and simply refer back to the terms and conditions when they have no more answers. It’s very tactful! Half the time the service never worked and we had no option but to stop paying it! I heard the consultant laugh as if she had heard this complaint before!

I stopped using the service on Jan. I received a bill for feb and march even though usage was cut. So its advertised as a month to month subscription and not advertised as a contract or subscription that gives you the ability to cancel from month to month, that would be bad advertising! It just wouldn’t sound inviting! I was still billed for the months that the service was cut off! So either way it benefits rain data.

Shocking and misleading to say the least! You have to read the terms and conditions to unravel the mystery of the adverti*****t on offer! The sign up process is just too smooth and pushes the terms and conditions to the side, which there no need to read because the offer is clear and precise!

It’s a month to month! What else could this be, well You would have to read the terms! I will be reporting this to the consumer board!
