Money down the drain with Rain

I have been with Rain for a number of years. I first used their services while based in Port Elizabeth where there are no issues with 5G coverage. When I moved to Thohoyandou I checked to see if there is coverage in the area. And according to their website there is 4G coverage. I have been using their services in Thohoyandou from around May 2024. Around September 2024 or therebouts, the network has been working during the early hours of the morning. At other times, one is lucky to even access the web. I am not talking heavy networking like watching Netflix. Just simple things like opening a web page. I cannot even offer my online law classes from home, something I used to be able to do. The standard response I get is that the alarm went off at your tower, the tower is 2.5km away from you, etc. They even gave me an aexternal router. Useless. I have decided to cancel the service from 1 June 2025. I have to give a month's notice (R589 subcsription down the drain). I have become an expert at trying to get a signal from Rain. I had decided to just cancel the service quietly and be done with them. But this morning alone, I have received 6 calls from Rain, and I have answered all 6 calls, and it was just silence. No one saying anything at the other end. And that is added irritation and aggravation. I guess it serves me right for not cancelling this service last year already. This is false advertising. I do not care how far the tower is from me. I am in Thohoyondou and you say you have coverage. I PAY MY SUBSCRIPTION, SO PROVIDE THE SERVICE. The tower did not suddenly move. I used to have coverage, so what happened? Does the tower move slowly towards me in the early hours of the morning? I am paying for a service that should not be throttled. I understand about fair usage. But I spend my days in the office using the University network, and I am the only one using Rain at my place. For a network not to allow even garden variety net surfing is beyond ridiculous. It is daylight *******. No nice way to put it. And they have the nerve to call six times just because I am cancelling my subscription. How about you spend that time making your network serviceable? Now there's an idea.

It is 358 Silver Lining Apartments, Maungani Main Road, Hlopeka, Thohoyandou, 0920. But I know this is a PR exercise. I have informed your consultants of this address many many times, and this is where Rain delivered the outdoor router i 2024. It also appears on your mobile app.
