I regret ever using rain as a service provider.

I have been having trouble with rain since the beginning of the year. I have been handed over to debt collectors as a result. I made payment arrange ments with then and requested they suspend the service while I pay off the outstanding amount due, which I don't understand how they can bill me for a service I was not using. To my understanding rain is a pay as you use service. My phone was ****** and I didn't have a phone for a couple of months when I finnaly got one I started receiving messages from them that I have an outstanding amount I had to pay. I was on the mobile only package which is like R300 rand a month. By the time I checked my balance was ON R1595. I HAVE PAID THAT AMOUNT OFF BUT TO MY SURPRISE I STILL OWE RAIN R1300. I am not happy with the way I was treated when I called in to find out what was going on since I having been using the rain service since. The call agents dismiss my claims that I had arrange payments for the initial amount of R1595 and tell me that even when you don't use the service rain will continue to bill my account until I pay the account off. I am really disappointed in the way this matter has been handle by rain and I regret using then as a network provider. Is there anyone going through the same issue with rain? If so what measure did you take to get the service canceled. Because now I feel like I am being held against my will. I would really appreciate any feedback. Thanks
