False information about coverage and speed. GPRS not 4G
I have been having speed issues for the past 5 months, given the lockdown I was patient thinking that the congestion might have caused the issue.
Congestion is over and throughout the day or night, the speed is still absolutely slow that you cannot even open web pages. I have been sending numerous emails, day after day. Get a reply after a week or 2, only to be told that it might be the APN settings. It's a rain mobile router ! So that's bull****. I have changed routers but nothing helps. I am currently under 1KM away from the closes tower but on the optimization map it shows I'm connected to a tower more than 2.6km away. I now know that there is network issues in my area because I used the rain mobile 4G router at my house and I got 0.39Mbs and when I did the same test at Mount Edgecombe with router, it gave me 21.3Mbs speeds. This is a major concern for me an it seems as if Phoenix is a dead zone and Rain doesn't care for this area because it is probably considered a poorer area than Mount Edgecombe and Umhlanga. I have taken screenshots of all my findings. Phoenix is neglected and overlooked because of the area. I have made numerous attempts for assistance to resolve this but Rain does not care. I was told my tower works 100%, I would like to see that report because I do not believe that if it did work then I would have gotten the same or close to the speeds that Mount Edgecombe gets. 0.03 is like the days of GPRS, pathetic !
