False advertising: no contract

I wrote a previous review concerning customer service at rain due to a matter which I need to resolve. My problem is that they advertise month to month WiFi, no contracts, but after I stopped using Rain for more than a year, I now receive a bill of a few thousand Rand to pay. If there is no contract, how can this be? And I clearly asked the question when I app****. I stated that I don’t want any contracts and the sales person still assured me that there is no contract and said: “ if you don’t pay you don’t get”. On this information I made my choice to use Rain.

After not using Rain for more than a year, I now receive a bill of a couple of thousand Rands saying I owe them. During this period, they stopped the WiFi and I didn’t use them in any way as I installed WiFi in my house.

I did phone them before the review to try and resolve the matter. After much struggle and speaking to AI and eventually got through to an actual person, he could not help me nor give me a number of someone who can help me. I was then forced to write a review as there is no number to phone or write an e-mail to. They returned a message on Hello Peter which stated that they will get in contact with me to look into the problem. As to date I have not received a phone call but many Final Notices of payment.
