DO NOT UPGRADE TO THE RAIN ONE PACKAGE

I signed up with Rain for a 200mbps uncapped line at R 999 per month. It went very well until they offered me an "upgrade". They offered me 2 "free" sim cards at no additional cost.

What they did not say was that they dropped my connection speed to 60mbps at the same time and to go back to 100mbps+ will cost me an additional R 400 per month.

In addition to this they are advertising the exact same contract now costs R 559 per month for new subscribers.

Their call centre is useless as I called on the 6th of July to complain and was told that I will have to pay the additional speed I then said in that case I want to go back to my old contract and was told it is not possible. I asked to speak to a manager (Chester) and was told he is not available and will return my call in 30 minutes and NOBODY returned my call.

I again called on the 11th of July to complain and there was simply a no care attitude and no attempt at client retention. simply provided me with details to cancel. My speed tests return at 60mbps from +300mbps so my speed was lowered.
