Do not change your Payment Date or pay before your selected Payment Date

I requested for my payment date to be changed from the 25th to the 1st around mid March 2025. On the 27th of March, I selected the 'pay now' option to make payment to Rain, way before the new payment date. They still wanted to collect from my account on the first and hit me with a disconnection on the 02nd of April. Can their system not check if payment has been made already? I contacted their support team, they confirmed my payment dated the 27th of March, but still insisted that I need to pay another full amount (not pro rata) for the 1st of April. Since this does not make sense to me, I requested for my payment cycle to be reset to what it was (25th of every month). That has been done, my account now shows ‘up to date’ on their website, but I still do not have internet connection. When I try to connect I get a ‘action needed’ message that leads to their page which says I still need to pay (even though my account is ‘up to date’). Since yesterday, no response from Rain. So Do not change your Payment Date or pay before your selected Payment Date; it only leads to a disconnection, frustration and dead silence from Rain.

My request is for my payment cycle and payment date to be reset to what it was (before change of payment date) and internet connection to be restored. I still do not understand your billing cycle system. I would expect to be charged pro rata instead of a full amount with such a change of payment dates. Thus, kindly reset my cycle to what it was, as I have already paid. Moreover, a full amount does not make sense as this is a 2nd day without internet connection. Thank you.

As explained previously, the payment date has been amended to the 25th and my account status shows as 'up to date'; why must I pay when I have already paid? Why must I be charged? This was never explained to me before and I deem it as an unfair practice. Your systems do not have a 'rollback' process?image.png 113.07 KB

That is correct, I did set it back to the 25th, as a result of you lack of assistance. I am very concerned still, that you were not responding to my emails. Does a client need to go to these extremes to get a response for a service they have paid for? Since my payment date is corrected, kindly restore my connection and continue as our relationship has been.

I will conclude that it holds true then that clients Should not change their Payment Date or pay before their selected Payment Date, except if they are ready to pay twice (including a 'reconnection fee' that they have never heard of), live with a disconnection and a lack of response on Rain's part. Thank you.
