Disappointed by Rain
On the 25th Feb 2022 i wrote to rain to cancel my account as i was no longer happy for paying R250 a month for a buffering slow internet connection.
I was advised by one of the agents to log onto my profile and cancel. I did so. (I have the email trail) Also mentioned in the mail was ff:
"Cancellation will take place at the end of the month, services will remain open for use until then. Final payment will be collected on 25/03 for February services. "
On the 25th March 2022 mailed the consultant proof of payment i.e. my bank statement showing that payment was already deducted by Rain on the 25 Feb 2022 In April a deducrion of R250 was made again
I want my R250 refund for April as I dont owe them
I have been in contact with one of their consultants (as i complained on Facebook) subsequently to try and resolve this matter and sent all the proof but issue still persists
Instead the response I got is as ff:
Hi Tumi Ntho, we apologise for the delayed response our current customer query volumes are very high which delays us in responding timeously. "Please note that your account is now up to date, and will not be debited going forward as your services are canceled. Please also note that the amount debited on (2022-04-25) was your outstanding invoice for February that was not settled."
Clearly somebody's did not consider payment deducted by Rain on the statement for march showing payment for Feb.
Please assist as tired of this run around.
We're really sorry your rain experience hasn't been as good as you expected.
We're going to get on this asap.
Thank you, rain.

Hi Khumbuza
Thank you for sending through POP.
Please note I am done with investigations and my findings are as follows.
(Please note we bill in arrears)
the amount you paid on the 25th of February was for January's bill, which means Feb's bill was supposed to be collected on the 25th of March, but there was no collection on that date so it fell on the 25th of the next month, which was April, this is the reason you were deducted R250 of the 25th of April.
I dont agree WITH above responce:
When i cancelled the service. I was called by one of the female agents saying i have to pay for the usage for February which was my last usage period.
All my premiums are up to date.
Why do i have to pay for march (decuted in april) for services cancelled in feb. I have to pay for the usage until the last date of usage. Which was feb.
If you dont want to refund me JUST SAY SO because you are used to deducting peoples money even when services have been cancelled by them
If you look at my payment history under my profile. It shows last payment is feb 28. You did not even reflect the payment you deem for march on 30 april.

Hi
Please note that the payment you made on the 25th of Feb was for Jan, your last bill, the Feb bill, was due on the 25th of March, because yout pay date is set for 25th of every month.
The last payment for Feb's bill, which was due in March was not received in March so it git deducted on the 25th of April.
The last amount you paid was for your Feb's bill. -----------------------------------------
Its clear you taking my money *********ly and dont want to pay me back.
GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR ENDEVOUR. I hope it makes you rich and successful.
I hope this will increase your brand value and increase your image
I think this is your interpretation of good corporate citizenship, ethical and effective leadership
You dont care about customer perception to your brand. We know sometimes things go pear shaped.
But you need to know that the more you treat customers this way,YOU are slowly eroding your market share and directly moving those customers to your competition.
Just for interest sake - take a percentage of your unhappy customers from you total revenue and see how much you stand to loose to your competition.
GOOD luck...!
