Debited after almost a year without using their service.

I ha horrible signal issues since last year, I eventually gave up on them, but they wouldn't hear it, I lost my job in October and could no longer pay, so since then I've never used the account again, end of June I paid what was owed for last years usage, today I get debited for July, I have not used this sim in almost a year, so why am I being debited again after so long, I do not wish to use Rain ever again!!!
