Complaint

I received a call from Rain GTM about 2 months ago saying that I owed them R40k for a bill I ran up in November 2019. The gentleman that called me said his name was Yanga Steenkamp and insisted that I make a payment arrangement. I told him and assured him that I had never app**** for a Rain account as my network provider is Telkom and asked for proof / statement to be emailed to me. To date I have never received any communication until today. I received an sms this morning from Colmed debt administration saying that they received an instruction to collect an outstanding amount of R40,623.50 from me with the option of either taking a loan or making a payment arrrangement. There are no contact numbers for either companies. How does a person that was unemployed at the time run up a bill of this amount in one day. What filthy lies and **** is this. I need valid explanations! ASAP!

Yesterday I decided to call the call center on ***, it was very easy to get information, whomever created the account in my name has also included a ********** email address that does not belong to me. I was told that it could be someone close to me that committed this ***** however why is Rain not investigating? I have now involved attorneys in this process as to date Rain has not provided and proof. I spoke to a consultant at 16:45pm on the 10/11/2021 by the name of Jacky, she said that applications were done online and OTP's were sent to my phone - I have never received an OTP. From what I gather if you do not pay your bill your services are suspended..my question is if that is the case how has this bill reached 40k+ and was I not called - this is definitely a case of identity theft and I have already opened a case with my attorneys. Rain do your part and get to the bottom of this. I have read further complaints about your company and you should be very ashamed of yourself. Taking peoples hard earned money without giving them services. Poor service delivery!
