Customers need to know Rain is an 'as is' service, meaning they make NO guarantee that you will get good speeds.

Often shapes connection. I started downloading a file from WeTransfer at 1.2MB/s, but it eventually slows to below 100KB/s. Need to often restart the modem to reconnect to the tower and get good speeds again.

I have logged many calls and spoken to Rain technical staff on many occasions. They unofficially admit the network is overused. I've stopped logging calls as they always ask me exactly the same questions and in about a year have not gotten closer to solving my performance issues. That's because I'm not the problem. The Rain network is. But Rain's support staff will waste your time troubleshooting your side and not admitting it's the network shaping that's to blame.

So while Rain is capable of fast speeds, it's not reliable. I'm working on bringing fibre into my neighborhood. It will cost me more and for slower speeds, but at least it will be reliable.
