*****
I have been handed over to collections for an account that was opened in my name by someone else. RAIN enables and clearly supports *****. I have explained several times that my ex employer opened the account using my ID number and old work address after I was retrenched. But no one seems to care. I was planning on signing for their new offering but can't because my name is flagged. So moral of the story is, if you have someone's ID number you can open an account in their name, RAIN does not verify details.

15 Nov 2023, 08:58This is exactly what I am talking about. The contract was taken out after I had been retrenched. If there is nothing owed on the account, why am I being hounded by a collection agency?
My ex-employer is a RICA agent, I am not playing games here. This is a simple case of *****. If you claim I signed for the SIM card and device, I am requesting proof.
Using my ID you will see that the account was paid by G Burgess, my ex-employer. His number is also associated with the account. Why in God's name would I open an account after being retrenched and linking it to my ex-boss?
