Rain has to be one of the most unreliable networks in South Africa. You pay R650 a month for roughly 6 Mbps download and 4 Mbps upload, and even those low speeds are consistently bad. The connection is wildly unstable — fast for a moment, then completely unusable. Streaming buffers endlessly, online gaming is impossible, and even basic browsing randomly drops. The biggest issue is that Rain overpromises and underdelivers. Coverage maps mean nothing, advertised speeds are a fantasy, and peak hours turn the network into a brick. Paying R650 for such poor and unreliable performance is honestly unacceptable.

If you need internet for work, studying, gaming, or anything serious — avoid Rain. It might look cheap, but you pay with frustration and wasted time.

Would not recommend this service to anyone.
