OutDebt Advisors
Based on recent customer reviews, OutDebt Advisors is drawing sustained criticism over its outbound telephone sales approach. Many callers describe unsolicited calls offering lower interest rates, followed minutes later by an SMS claiming consent was given to pull their credit report. Several report being placed under debt review unknowingly, with debit orders taken while home loan, vehicle and store accounts fell into arrears. Cancellation requests, emails and calls reportedly go unanswered. A smaller group praises patient consultants who explained the process clearly and helped them regain control of their finances.

They called my brother on Wednesday, explaining that they work for ABSA where his vehicle is financed and that they are sent by ABSA to reduce his installment. He was then asked to accept the mandate. Now ABSA is sending him emails telling him that he is under debt review and that he should call OutDebt to remove him because they have no business with OutDebt. I would like to know where and how they obtain personal and relevant information about the public.

I have just received a call from one of tve advisors. She was so rude to me. And when I was still asking who she was and on what business, she hung up. After +- 5 minutes I received a message that I gave a consent to Outdebt to request my credit report for credit affordability assessment. That is a blue lie.

I received a call from someone who listed my accounts and spoke about interest rates today. I asked the person what exactly they want as I have never contacted them or requested anything from them. They hung up then I later received a message saying I gave consent to access my credit report. PLEASE REMOVE MY DETAILS FROM YOUR COMPANY BECAUSE THIS IS *****. I want nothing to do with Outdebt, I did not consent to anything. I don't even know what this is about! I spent years repairing my credit profile, please do not mess it up. This is infuriating!

On 19 August 2026, I received an unsolicited telephone call from someone representing Outdebt who spoke about reducing my debt. I did not contact Outdebt, apply for debt counselling, or knowingly agree to be placed under debt review. During the call, it was not clearly explained that my credit report would be accessed or that an affordability assessment would be conducted. Immediately still on the call, I received an SMS stating that I had given consent for Outdebt to request my credit report for an affordability assessment. I dispute this alleged consent. I did not knowingly or voluntarily authorise Outdebt to access my credit report or initiate any debt-review process. I request that Outdebt urgently: 1. Confirm whether my credit report was accessed and identify the credit bureau used. 2. Confirm whether a Form 16, Form 17.1, or any debt-review notification was submitted in my name. 3. Confirm whether my information was captured on the NCR Debt Help System. 4. Provide the complete and unedited call recording and proof of the alleged consent. 5. Provide the full name and NCR registration number of the debt counsellor involved. 6. Cancel and reverse any process initiated in my name. 7. Confirm in writing that no debt-review indicator has been placed against my profile. 8. Stop contacting my credit providers or processing my personal information. I have withdrawn any alleged consent and will also refer this matter to the National Credit Regulator and the Information Regulator if it is not resolved immediately. I require an urgent written response confirming that my information has been removed and that no action has been taken against my credit profile.

I don’t even know where to begin. I was ****med into joining outdebt, they told me that Nedbank is overcharging me and they can decrease my interest rates. I agreed and joined not knowing it is debt review. When I noticed that it is debt review I sent them an email 2 days after asking to be cancelled on this thing as they have not yet deducted. I never received any contract from them, I don’t know which debts am I paying and for how long I know nothing. They never responded to my email. They have been deducting my money since March till today. Today I got a call from my home loan that my account is in arrears I haven’t paid for 3 months. I am owing them R45000 that time outdebt is deducting R14227 every month from me. I decided to call car loan, unfortunately I am also owing them R19000. This is a **** honestly. I was unemployed last month and I asked them to send me my contract, that was the first time I am seeing the contract. By the way it doesn’t specify on the contract on how long will I pay for this and when does it end. Last month I paid R6000 due to unemployment. Now I want to be out of this **** completely. I have never been on arrears with my car and home loan. It started now with outdebt being involved. I called the ombudsman they said I must lodge a complaint with NCR first. I am writing this to warn other people about outdebt advisors. This is a ****, no communication till you call. You will notice it when you in arrears and they don’t care. I called them today now they blaming me for not sending my payslip. By the way they asked for the payslip now only because I said I got another job. They asked for the payslip on the 30/07/2026 they said it is the reason I am in arrears. They said they never received my cancellation email. I also called more than 10 times asking to be cancelled in February. They kept saying send an email. What a ****! I am really praying NCR helps me regarding this ****. Now I have over R60000 arrears because of outdebt.
