STAY AWAY from OpenWeb - FAR AWAY.

Whatever you do, STAY AWAY from using OpenWeb.

Do your homework, read the reviews and understand them. Do NOT put yourself through what I stupidly have.

Your line speeds are halved on ADSL. After 6pm you can barely watch a video on Facebook (I have an 8Mb ADSL line).

In the day and a half I have had my "service" the internet connection has disconnected 9 times.

Call the ********** number, I get spoken to like I'm brain dead, uneducated, and told that no one can help me, after having to call back 4 times because they put the phone down when I ask who I'm speaking to.

Finally I get told its my router thats faulty, which its not. Because I'm now with Mweb, and everythings fine. Speed is great, you can actually get to speak to someone, and they sound interested in helping you.

OpenWeb are unwilling to cancel the subscription. The "cancel" button does not work on your customer portal, the email address they say you must use to get a cancellation number doesn't get rep**** to, and they only see a service cancelled if they supply you with a cancellation number - which they don't. No matter how hard you try to get one.

They rope you in with a decent monthly fee - granted, thats why I went over to them. But, I regret it.

There is absolutely no service once you have given them your details. And don't dare try interrupt them with a query during office hours. They make it blatantly clear to you that they won't help you, and that you are an annoyance.

Once you tell them you want to cancel - they put the phone down on you.

Whatever you do, heed my advice - spare yourself the frustration, the run around, being spoken to like dirt by an aggressive arrogant individual, the ultra poor speeds, constant disconnections that they blame your equipment for, and a a nightmare of getting them to cancel your subscription.

For the saving you are hoping to make - its just not worth the stress and frustration.

They will quite happily keep deducting money for something you are not even getting half of.

I had to resort to a lawyers letter to get them to act on my cancellation.

There are better places to do business with - I wish in hindsight I had done my research before being so hasty to move to them.
