My thoughts on Openweb's mobile data and prices.
To preface, in the past, I've hopped around on different networks trying to save money. I did save money, and I always followed the map coverage listed on the different company websites...Telkom lte, MTN mobule, Vodacom... Their maps look good for my area. At one point I went on a road trip with MTN 4g, and I was shocked when I did not get coverage for 4 towns in a row. I could not check my phone or internet for a week. Luckily, I had no work to do on the trip. It was not a temporary drop in coverage - it was a HUGE problem. I've found Vodacom to be better, but that they still drop coverage more often and have more blind spots. Telkom's mobile data through openweb is the king of coverage and as a business owner I'm willing to pay a little more for that. It is expensive, but at least I know that if I were stranded with my caravan, I could call for some help.
