Misleading Communication and Poor Service Management - OpenWeb Internet

Title: Misleading Communication and Poor Service Management - OpenWeb Internet

Rating: 1/5

I feel compelled to warn potential customers about my experience with OpenWeb to help others avoid similar frustration.

Timeline of Events: 1. Service started in October 2024 2. Within 3 days, internet service failed 3. Experienced multiple days without service while working remotely 4. Had to purchase expensive mobile data to continue working 5. Received poor customer service and minimal communication about issues

When I initially requested cancellation due to these issues, they enforced a full calendar month notice period despite the service barely working.

I was asked then by support when the internet was working again if I want to revoke the cancellation which I then rep**** yes and they sent me a form to revoke.

On October 14, I received an email from Adri Pillay confirming my cancellation was REVOKED (I have this in writing). However, yesterday, I was suddenly informed by Zelda Coetzee that "unfortunately revoking the cancellation did not process and the account has been closed."

Their solution? "Please feel free to register for a new contract." No accountability, no proper explanation, just a suggestion to start all over again with a new contract.

Key Issues to Note: - Service failures within days of installation - Poor communication and customer service - Contradictory information from different staff members - No responsibility taken for their administrative errors - Dismissive attitude toward customer concerns - Enforcement of notice period despite failed service

When I requested to speak with management about their error in not processing the cancellation revoke (which they had confirmed in writing), I was told "There is no reversing this cancellation" followed by "I do apologise" - an apology without any attempt to resolve the issue.

My Advice: If you're considering OpenWeb as your internet service provider, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. The combination of technical issues, poor customer service, and administrative incompetence has made this one of the worst service experiences I've ever had.

Save yourself the frustration and choose a more reliable provider who values customer service and clear communication.

Proof of all communications and timestamps are available if needed.
