Incorrect pro-rata
I am in the process of ordering my product
They have sent me a pro-rata bill which is nearly the same amount as a full month subscription and I will only be using it from about the 20th of this month
My subscription is R499/month, but they want to charge R399 pro rata and I will most probably only be using it for about 10 days
I've asked for clarification and I just receive a pro-rata formula that they use which makes no sense
My explanation of how pro rata should be calculated is not even considered
It seems as if they allow maximum 40% reduction on pro-rata where other services providers work up to 100% which is fair and how it should be
I may be wrong but then someone needs to explain and convince me
I have seen good reviews and I really want this product but I want fairness upfront

15 Oct 2022, 12:12Hello Dean. I am sorry if there was any confusion regarding our pro rata discount or if we were unable to effectively explain it. I can confirm that at the time of your sign-up, the pro-rata discount was 20%, but it has since changed and constantly changes throughout the month.
Please note that the pro rata amount does not always directly correlate with the percentage of the month left because upon signing up, there are also the labour costs (i.e. assigning and testing the SIMs, email support, the paid systems we use, etc.), delivery costs that need to be partially accounted for, and other small things things such as bank fees and insurance. These costs are mostly insignificant but need to be accounted for.
That being said, the pro rata discount might not always appear to be correct, but we can assure you that it is justified one way or another. However, if you are still weary of the price, then I would recommend only paying for a full month in advance because that price will only ever be the cost of your plan of choice :)
