Paying for a 200MBPS LINE - BUT ONLY GETTING 30-60MBPS!! Lies and false promises!! Openserve & Vodacom cannot deliver on their promises!!

So, so disappointed right now!! Feel like I have been taken for a ‘ride’ by VODACOM & OPENSERVE and all the other service providers!!!

Been battling with slow download speeds with Telkom/Openserve for many, many months (paying for a 100Mbps line … but only really getting a maximum of 20-40Mbps) - at one point even having to ask my daughter to move-in with my in-laws (who stay in Monavoni), due to her not being able to complete her online university examinations, due to the intermittent Telkom/Openserve Fibre connectivity!!!

So I decided to move to RAIN LTE/5G at a similar cost to Telkom/Openserve (based in the good reviews I saw on FB and other social media). Rain turned out to be worse than Telkom/Openserve, in short.

So I decided to go for a 200Mbps line (contract) from Vodacom (who I have my cellphone contract with). To my utter disappointment, I currently have exactly the same slow download speed problem (as with Telkom!!). No surprise who the hardware provider is - yes, OPENSERVE again!! Vodacom & Openserve make wonderful promises, but cannot deliver!!! Paying for a 200MBPS LINE - BUT ONLY GETTING 30-60MBPS!! To me, this smacks of *******/unfair marketing practices, and I will be logging a complaint with the NCC and the Consumer Ombudsman!!!

They are all quick to take the consumer’s money and make promises, which they know they can’t UPHOLD!! Disgusting service!!!

I have so far logged five different complaints - with no ‘real’ feedback!! All just automated messaging/replies!!
