Openserve - Damage to Property
My neighbor contacted Axxess, their internet provider to arrange for an installation / upgrade. On the 28th of January they came out to complete the task. It was raining for days (during tropical storm Eloise time). They dug up the grass and ground next to my driveway to lay cables. After digging they placed all the grass and sand onto my paved driveway. The rain came down very hard and they left the hole open. The ground underneath my paving started to shift and with the weight on top of the paving it caused the paving to sink into the ground. They then just filled up the hole after completing whatever they were doing and left it like that. When I came home from work my husband was outside speaking to one of the guys who were still there. He just said he did not do it and that they will come to replace the bricks they broke next to our water meter. I have made numerous calls and sent numerous emails. I sent photos and all the information I had. They just refuse to come out and say that they require tangible information.
This is very frustrating and unprofessional. I am not even the client but have to suffer damage due to someone else's negligence. Do not know who works in pouring rain digging up ground anyway.
I am being ignored and the neighbors do not want to be involved, even though this is them who wanted the installation done. I am disgusted.
