FIBRE CABLE HAS BEEN LYING DOWN ON THE GROUND IN MY YARD FOR OVER TWO YEARS

Absolutely pathetic service. New fiber cable installed 2 years ago is still lying in my back yard. Openserve staff erected the line, said they would be back "later" to lift and tighten it, and have not returned. Pole is in neighbours yard but access to it was gained through my yard, so neighbour refuses to have the cable lying in THEIR yard. Numerous fault reports to Telkom are cancelled by them as "the line has been tested and no faults found".... Finally managed to get someone from Openserve to come look in July 2021, he said it was an "urgent and dangerous situation" and he would speak to his supervisor immediately he returned to his vehicle, and the situation would be rectified within the next day or two. NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN. We have now looped the cable around the top of the fence, meaning we are unable to use the electric fencing, which would result in the cable being burnt. The second pole to which the cable joins is in a different neighbours yard, and that pole rotted completely about 5 years ago. The box that the cable goes into is tied to a pawpaw tree to lift it off the ground. PATHETIC AND DANGEROUS NON-SERVICE.
