THEFT and ABUSE OF PRIVILEDGE - even Nxatel staff don't know what is going on!

After an abortive attempt to canel our service with Nxatel in February 2018 with Priscilla of Nxatel, we tried again to cancel this contract in May 2018. The contract is for a basic phone line and not in anyway a technical issue. During the second attempt to cancel this service on 24 May 2018 we were notified that instead of just a written confirmation of cancellation we needed to include a form they would forward to us. We comp**** with all the requests and acknowledged that there is a 30 day cancellation period - therefore our service would terminate at the end of June 2018. However we found that we were still being billed in July AND August for this service. Between May and August I was in contact with a gentleman by the name of Vusi who promised to sort out this issue. On 23 August I confirmed with Vusi that he had received all our paperwork regarding the cancellation and our supporting documents and he promised to have feedback for us in 24hours. A week went by without any contact except a blast email from Nxatel warning of the maintenance fee coming up in September. I sent an email to Vusi requesting confirmation that this would not be charged to us and that we would be refunded for the two months which Nxatel billed us for AFTER we had comp**** with the procedure for cancellation - I did not receive any feedback. On 30 August we received a confirmation email from the accounts department that they had received all the documents and that it would be actioned within 24hours, by 31 August.

Thereafter we were debited again by Nxatel for the Annual Fee and when this was raised with Vusi again, all he could say was he doesn't know what is going on.

We continue to be billed via debit order for a service we cancelled in MAY and have not received a satisfactory response once from the staff of Nxatel.

We are now DEMANDING a refund for the months which were debited after the cancellation of this service as this amounts to nothing short of THEFT and ABUSE OF AUTHORITY after allowing for a debit order to be created on our business account for this service.

Perhaps now someone within the NXATEL company will be able to give feedback...
