Billing months past cessation of service
In November 2013 NXATEL installed a new telephone system at our practice. Initially 3G wouldn't work so they opted for VOIP lines. We had continuous disruption of service due to the quality of our ADSL lines being very poor and we kept on requesting an improved service. After five months of struggle we had to resort to service by another company and paid a settlement fee of R60 000. Now we are still billed over R400 monthly for a service that never really worked. On enquiry NXATEL just shrugs their shoulders and say we have to keep on paying. This is completely unacceptable since we haven't had proper service from them right from the word go.

Thank you for taking the time to bring your complaint to our attention.
Note that you have signed the contract with Nxatel and Centrafin, Both contract are not the same. Centrafin is for hardware and your Nxatel contract is for line rentals and airtime.
We have received the settlement that you have paid to centrafin for the hardware of the equipment but we did not receive a payment of the nxatel settlement as such the billing continued and that is why we are billing you R400.00 for the line rental of the VOIP contract that you have signed with Nxatel.
Note that if you want us to terminate the contract, you will need to settle for the remaining months of the contract.
For more info please contact our customer service department on *** or email to ***
We will then proceed with the termination of the contract.
Thank You
