Struggling to get a response for weeks
Extremely poor service and administrative incompetence If you are considering DebtHero, save yourself the absolute nightmare and look elsewhere. My *** was terminated by Standard Bank due to non-payment, even though my debit order with DebtHero went off successfully on my side. This is entirely DebtHero's mistake for failing to uphold the agreement and distribute payments correctly. To make matters worse, I am now sitting on day 8 of a strict 10-day period to get this reinstated while attorneys hound me. When I call for help, I am told every single time that the relevant person is "on another call," and my *** are ignored entirely. Even the person who onboarded me told me I could message him directly if issues arose, and he completely ghosts my messages. Absolute zero accountability, terrible communication, and complete disregard for clients. Management needs to step up and fix this immediately.

Terrible Company to use for debt review
I transferred to My Debt Hero in June 2026 from Debt Busters. I dont know what My Debt Hero did because they did a new application and not a transfer. Debt Busters had obtained a Consent order with agreed amounts to be paid for all my accounts but I felt the amount I was paying was still to high. My Debt Hero assured me that they could reduce the amount even though I told them I had a consent order in place. My Debt Hero did not pay my accounts for two months which caused all the accounts to go in arrears and I was getting calls from legal and the collections department from my creditors. My Debt Hero caused all the accounts to be terminated from debt review by the creditors due to the accounts being defaulted due to short payments. I had to make arrangements to pay the arrears for the accounts with the creditors and also pay my debt review instalment. Instead of helping me My Debt Hero caused unneccesary stress. Davine Mitchell never returns calls and when you call to speak to her the receptionist Laylani Pietersen always says she's either on a call or having tea or on lunch. This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had and this Company has not helped me in any way. My accounts are still all terminated from debt review but I am still paying them for the service.

Not very with their communication
I signed up with my debt hero 3 months ago and made payments now creditors are phoning me to settle arrears on my *** which accumulated while I was with them upon referring the matter to them they say there is nothing they can do. Which is not what they explained to me in the first place

Worst
Honestly the worst company. I approached them for help, they called me back made alot of empty promises. The guy Shalin Williams. Apparently a manager, explained the process and I told him *** is way to much to deduct. He told me they would reduce it by the end of the week to ***. He told me someone from the admin will call and arrange that. I then got a call from Ernest who said there is no notes of the Shalin character, I told him he must go speak to that guy and come back when the installment is reduced. No feedback from anyone at all Ive messages sharing numerous time who keeps saying someone will call and no one does. Ernest never called back either. I then got emailed about my salary and calculation and this is completely wrong. They made my income more than it was said to be. I queried this and no feedback. Also I was told this process will take 3 years but it shows in their forms it will go to 2040? I called to the business but can't speak to anyone. I want to cancel everything. As their ads are misleading and they unreachable. Id rather struggle with my debt than be **** to and ****** from

My experience: On 13 Feb 2026 at 14:51:14 I was registered for debt review. Form 16 audit shows IP *** (localhost), email *** (not mine), TraceId ***. Location shows MTHATHA but IP proves it was not from my device. Same day FNB DebiCheck attempt R7,506.36 at 17:32. Listed on TransUnion as under debt review 2026/04/08 score 0/1010 though I never signed with my IP/email.

No Communication and serious repecusions
STAY AWAY. Please Please Stay away from these people. They have been busy with my things since Jan 25 to date no court order. Now my accounts are being handed over to Attorneys and Banks taking steps to repossess my home. Despite me paying them every month the agreed amount. Banks communicate to them but they do nothing and then you are not aware of any or it and you cannot get hold of these people ever. Logging support request just gets closed.
