MTN subscription cancellation

Wow...what an experience I'm having with MTN. There will be hundreds of people to help when you want to open a new contract but when you need to cancel to is impossible. Subscription cancellation can only be done via phone and when you do the cancellation option they do not answer. What surprises me is that I want to pay the cancellation fee as I have closed my accounts and leaving the country, but MTN do not want the money. I actually went to a MTN store and proved the problem when I asked them to phone. Unfortunately SA is known for the bad customer service and is obviously not going to change any time soon.
