The Art of Bad Service - Part 2

I was recently migrated to a new position in the thermosphere or exosphere, and have experienced basically the same issues I did last time when I was migrated about 2 years ago. You'd think they've sorted out migrations by now!!!!!! Last time round, I was sent in an infinity loop by a useless Morclick "representative" because of shoddy connection after said migration, while this time the representative was nice and somehow efficient, but the "higher ups" this person always kept referring to, was totally useless. To get back to it, firstly, their on-site technician got in touch with me (before the migration), and out of a very confusing 3rd party coordinator, we eventually settled on a date he'd be here, after 3 different dates were firmly agreed upon, and, after some 'Let me gets back to you's', we eventually agreed on a single time and place. So, he eventually got here to come to position the dish in the new direction. That about to happen, him and his 'underling' were up in arms about where the new dish position should be, but they eventually chose a spot they agreed to on both through some cohesion. Not long after starting installing the dish, they hit a copper water pipe (right outside the bathroom, of course, which had water spewing everywhere) which the foreman on the farm I live on had to come and fix. The technician promised me I should expect much higher download speeds than before. This, of course, did transpire, until I was throttled to death after only having used 50% of my monthly allocation. Throttling, I suppose, living in SA, is ok, but not to such an extent you can't even have a Zoom meeting with ONE person. Soon after the migration I started experiencing connectivity issues, and got in touch with Morclick, dreading to have to go through the exact same rigmarole I had to 2 years earlier. Of course, one has to have the patience of the living dead living in South-Africa while having to deal with any kind of representative!!! Did the whole schlock of them testing my device with a LAN line from my side through 'HelpDesk', then about 40 messages back and forth. Took about 2 weeks!!!! Huuuuuuuuuuuuuge Surprise!!! Same results as before. The help assistant eventually reneged and told my I'm being throttled, about 2 and a half weeks into my monthly data allocation. I said, What!!?, to which she showed my I'm on 50% percent of my data usage (as mentioned before) about three quarters into the month, and that we can only do speed tests again after my data re-set.

I was reset today. All hunky-dory. Tried to get in touch with the representative again to pick up on last month's issues. They'd somehow disappeared.

YOU'RE BEING THROTTLED AFTER USING 50% OF YOUR DATA ALLOCATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ***!!!!!!!!

Being throttled, I'm sure, isn't the end of the world, but when you are throttled in such a way that you can't even have a ****in' Zoom meeting (which requires minimum up- and download speed), it's dire. I still had upper 20% left of my monthly allocation before the their digital clock ticked over, and last night I couldn't even watch YouTube.

From last night - AT THIS TIME I'M TYPING THIS (ONE HOUR BEFORE MY NEW ALLOCATION KICKS IN), I HAVE MORE THAN 20% LEFT OF MY MONTHLY ALLOCATION. I CAN'T WATCH YOUTUBE OR NETFLIX, THE LOWEST SPEEDS OUT THERE ON THE WEB.

That all said, and most important of all, I live in an isolated area, working online. Starting last week, I had to cancel or postpone MULTIPLE online meetings because of ****py connection, and when you work for yourself, you lose money.

So, thank you Morclick for, once again, living up to your ****ty reputation. Can't wait for Amazon and Herotel to kick these ****ers out of the South-African hemisphere. Ooooooooooooooooooh, wait…. Herotel. Go****it!!! Where's Elon when you need him. Oooooooh, right.
