Looks like MoblePlus ****med me again representing themselves as MTN

Looks like MoblePlus ****med me again in the name of MTN

Last week got another call from someone on behalf of MTN by the looks of it since I received an SMS mentioning Mobiles Plus. I clarified the previous experience and the lady confirmed repeatedly that she is legitimately working from MTN corporate clients. After concluding my update to a new phone, this time the correct specs I was promised delivery and communication. I think it is going into the second week now. No communication from MTN into my inbox or SMS notifying me of a successful update. I do not know where the order is and if it is in fact a ****. If it is not, then please communicate with me

My previous dealings with them below MobilesPlus is a dubious business and is harming MTN's reputation On 26 February a very smooth talking ***an phoned me and under the pretence of MTN, updated my contract incorrectly. He was well informed about my current use and even the device I had. But before I could check the memory of my current handset he again assured me that it is a 64Gig (which it is not should I found out after the call, I. have a 256gig device). I told him again and again that I will only upgrade to a similar specs as my current device. Smooth talking salesman bamboozling me into an upgrade. He assured me of no paperwork required under a MTN Business deal (only ID on delivery). He promised to send me an e-mail, which I did not receive as promised (and which MTN usually does). I only received an SMS form MobilesPlus, did not know the company and started suspecting ***** or a ****. Phoned twice to their call centre was kept holding for what felt like an eternity and with what sounded like a foreign language insert into the voice message. Eventually spoke to Roslyn. I explained the situation to her and requested an immediate cancellation of the previous day's transaction. She informed that the contract has not been activated/processed (it was only done the previous day, 25 February), and that she has cancelled it on the system. She cannot provide me any written proof of the transaction being cancelled, although she has just confirmed my e-mail address a few moments ago, hence cannot send me an email confirming our engagement. She cannot put me through to the sales department either since she works in Customer care. All of which I find very suspicious and very unprofessional. I place it in the public domain that I cancel this upgrade, that I was exposed to deliberate manipulative mis-selling and that the company under suspicion makes it difficult to engage with it and does not do the paperwork required to effect their transactions. This indicates to me that MTN is in bed with unsavoury partners and further that I suspect that my MTN data has been leaked to this questionable company.
