PREDATORY BUSINESS PRACTICES
After setting a credit limit of R50 for out of bundle charges on my account, I was still charged R2000 for out of bundle data.

When I queried this via email, I was given a matter of fact response referring to the small print terms and conditions, Clause 4.3. which states that the credit limit is not guarenteed and that I'll still be liable for out of bundle charges.

Most significantly, a few days before all of this, I set my credit limit to zero, which resulted in a soft lock on my data services when I made an out of bundle call. Strangely, the data service, not call service, is linked to the credit limit. At that stage i still had available data bundle. I was then obliged to re-instate a credit limit for incidental out of bundle calls/data.

The fact that they could soft lock me for being slightly over my credit limit, but let my out of bundle/over limit data run along freely is a cause of great concern.

I vividly recall mentioning to John why i insist on the credit limit because cell c took me for close to R4k in out of bundle data charges.

Based on my experience and also what I have read in other compaints about them, they are clearly predators and to be avoided at all cost.
