Deposit and overcharges never refunded

At the end of February 2017 I posted a bad review about rampant charges. A man called Mandla from Me & You mobile contacted me, promising to refund me the the overcharged amount as well as the deposit of R500 I gave them. This amounts to R700 - inluding the overcharged amount of R200. I was then to settle the the R275 + R29 for itemized billing. Alternatively, I would have accepted the inflated bill, provided that my full R500 deposit be paid out without delay. I cancelled my cell phone account with them on 28 February.

I have not received any further accounts from them - and don't expect any.

I requested that the amount be paid into my cheque account, had to get a bank letter and send my ID, as I had cancelled my credit card - to close it for further use by Me & You Mobile.

On 14 March, an amount of R192 was refudend into my credit card account.

I have never come aross such a sly bunch. They use every trick in the book to overcharge you - like saying you can change bundles at any point - but they keep billing you as per the previous month. Happily adding charge after charge.

Not a cent of my R500 deposit has been returned. It is now 11 April.

You can never speak to anybody in charge when you phone - twice I have been told that the person is only helping them out, doesn't work for the firm and doesn't know how things work.

Brett Howell, CEO of Me & You Mobile should be dragged before the courts as his business practices are definitely not legitimate.
