Contract conditions changed

I was using this network for calls only, when I signed up the contract I read it and there was absolutely no mentions about using data and all that, today I received an sms stating that im in breach of contract since I did not use data. I called the call centre talked to sabrina, she said the terms and conditions were amended and that I have to use 50 mb of data, but my question is now, the contract that I signed didn't have any of that why is this affecting me? I didn't agree to those new conditions, to me they are the ones in breach of contract since they changed conditions of my contract without my consent, their service is good apart from this, would stay if that can be fixed

Hello r33bot,

Thank you for your post. Upon taking up the contract there is a Fair use policy which forms part of the agreement that you would have had to agree to before taking out the contract. We have these clauses in place to ensure that all of our customers have access to our product offering. We do apologise for the inconvenience this has caused however the fair use policy will be upheld.

Warm Regards
