Extremely disappointing experience with Master Movers. My belongings were damaged during the move, including my TVs and tumble dryer, as well as damage to my vehicle. I reported the damage on 8 July 2026 and provided all requested photos, videos and TV serial numbers. I was told the claim was being sent to their insurance, but weeks later I still have no proper update, claim status or expected resolution date. Every follow-up results in the same response: “We are waiting for insurance.” I have been patient and cooperative, but the lack of communication and progress is unacceptable. I am now having to consider formal legal action simply to get this matter resolved.

Master Movers, thank you for making my relocation from Joburg to Durban easy.
I recently moved from Johannesburg to Durban. Many moving companies quoted me R8k+ but Master Movers quoted me R6,3k. I honestly have zero complaints, all my stuff was in tact and their staff carried it down from my JHB apartment and up to my Durban apartment. Everything done professionally and I was always in contact with the drivers over where they are and ETA.

Exceptional Service from Start to Finish – Highly Recommended
I cannot recommend Master Movers highly enough. From the initial quote right through to delivery, they made what is normally a very stressful experience feel effortless. Not only were they the most affordable compared to the other moving companies I contacted, but their level of professionalism was outstanding. Every item was labelled with a sticker that had my name and a unique number, making it easy to identify and track every piece of furniture. When my furniture was delivered, my new home was in complete chaos and I had forgotten to print my inventory list to check everything off. Thankfully, the team had the original signed inventory from my Durban property, with every item numbered to match the stickers on my belongings. It gave me complete peace of mind knowing that nothing had been overlooked. The delivery team also deserves special recognition. They were incredibly friendly, accommodating and willing to help in any way they could. They handled all of my furniture with great care and treated my belongings as if they were their own. Their positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile made a huge difference during an already stressful move. Thank you to the entire Master Movers team for your excellent service. I would not hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for a reliable, professional and affordable moving company.

Title: Master Movers Damaged My Furniture, Failed to Inform Me, and Refused Transparency I am extremely disappointed with the way Master Movers has handled an incident involving damage to my furniture whilst it was in their care and storage. Several pieces of my furniture were damaged whilst being stored at their facility, including a console table with a custom-made glass top that was broken and now requires replacement. The furniture was purchased overseas and is of significant value. What is most concerning is that I was never informed that my furniture had been damaged. I only became aware of the damage when I requested that certain items be removed from storage. Had I not made that request, I have serious concerns as to whether I would have been informed at all. Following the discovery of the damage, I was advised that an internal investigation and "due diligence report" had been completed and that the incident had been classified as an accident. However, despite repeated requests, I have not been provided with the report, supporting evidence, CCTV footage, witness statements, or any documentation explaining how this conclusion was reached. Instead, the company has re**** on contractual clauses relating to insurance while avoiding transparency regarding the actual circumstances that caused the damage. My concerns are not only about the damage itself but also about: • The failure to notify me immediately after the incident occurred. • The lack of transparency regarding what happened. • The failure to provide the investigation findings they claim to have completed. • The need for repeated follow-ups just to obtain basic information. • The lack of accountability and ownership shown throughout the process. I understand the importance of insurance and the contractual position the company may rely upon. However, this matter concerns damage caused whilst my furniture was under the company's control and custody. I believe customers are entitled to expect honesty, transparency, prompt disclosure of incidents, and access to information regarding damage to their property. To date, I am still awaiting the full investigation report and supporting evidence that Master Movers claims exists. I am posting this review to make other consumers aware of my experience and in the hope that Master Movers will finally provide transparency, accountability, and a fair resolution to this matter.
