I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly Chane responded and how efficiently the matter was resolved. Horrible Crumbling White Cheddar
Bought a 900gm White Cheddar cheese and it is absolutely horrible. It is crumbly, you can't cut it with a knife without it breaking up into pieces. The taste does not taste like white cheddar. Highly disappointed after forking out R169 for this. Where are the quality checks? This cheese is horrible. I have photos which I unfortunately cannot post here. PD 24/04/2026; BB 18/09/2026; ***2

CHEDDAR CHEESE NOT MELTING
Recently bought a 900g family pack block of cheddar cheese. On bakng my Mac & Cheese in oven at correct temp the cheese would not melt as previously done. There was no gooey going on, nothing. Have unfortunately used most of the cheese for this dish. Have checked the packaging for batch no/expiry date and there is none. This block was purchased from PicknPay Bedford Centre.

Lancewood double cream plain yoghurt is not lactose free as claimed on the label
I bought Lancewood double cream plain yoghurt with a notation that it is Lanctose Free. Yet, the ingredients include full cream milk, pasteurised cream and lactase emzyme. This seems to be a **** as the lactase is surely derived from lactose. Secondly, how can they claim that milk and cream have no lactose in them?

Chemical/sour after taste
I always buy lancewood cheddar cheese, end of September I bought 4x 900g lancewood cheddar. Exp is 25-11-25. No promo - full price. We only opened 1 this weekend to grate and it had a funny chemical after taste. Opened the other one. Same thing.. Tonight I opened the other 2 blocks and same thing. All have same expiry date? What happened in production, is this a once off or must I change cheese brands? :-( over R600 for cheese and it's wasted. Not edible at all.
