************** by management and ************* salesperson at KIA Randburg
What a horrible experience dealing with this dealership. I saw the car I wanted online and being originally from FS, the plan was to buy the car closer to my family. I called motus and they advised I can get any vehicle I want delivered to the dealership I wanted but weirdly enough not this one cause the dealership principal refused to let go of the vehicle for days. We went to Kia Randburg to view the vehicle, it was on loan n they promised to bring it to us during the week to see and test drive. The guy brought it as promised during the day as our salesperson was delivering elsewhere and I decided let’s proceed with the purchase. The car was in 20 000km online and it had increased by the time we got it and apparently they couldn’t do much about that n gave us 5k off. My sales lady happened to be traveling or on leave and asked the finance lady to assist with the purchase (what a sweetheart, thank you Sihle). We had raised a few concerns about the car when we test drove it. It’s a 2025 demo, a few scratches here and there and windscreen chips. We were promised that those things would be sorted by the time we collected. On collection day, windscreen chip repaired but the scratches were NOT FIXED. We raised this with the sales lady and she reassured us it would be done when she came back and apologised for the inconvenience. She came back from leave but had forgotten about us cause she had done her sale n moved on. We hit her up, she came to collect the car, showed her the scratches and we had previously sent pictures as well. She delayed to bring it back cause she had other deliveries to handle on that day but we move. The car came back with only the bonnet scratch fixed not even all the way. She told us to wash the car n bring it back for the other scratches to be repaired. Later on we followed up and she told us her boss doesn’t want to approve the scratches and she had to fix the other scratches unauthorised cause that’s the only way it would get done but we shouldn’t worry he is like that and never wants to authorise anything but she got us. Time went by still nothing. I got a call about my number plates, they are done registering the vehicle in my names but it’s a FS number that came out and I said itsfine, I’ll keep the FS reg. this was early July and she went MIA again. We followed up on the repairs and the reg, she told us we can arrange for sometime during the week… I asked her I’m not gona get the reg without the car being fixed and she kept telling us to wait, she is talking to her boss everyday till she told me that her boss said he will not authorise for the scratches to be fixed, I should pay for them. I told her they were meant to be repaired prior to the collection n she reassured me they would be done n she told me to send her boss an email to ask for what they agreed to do initially but didn’t. I knew this was coming cause she got her sale and ofcourse im getting this treatment cause I'm black hence she could tell me that her boss is like this with “us”. This is money we work hard for to get half ass services and being treated differently cause of our color. It’s disgusting and ridiculous that this is still happening in 2026! I bought my car early June n I still dnt have my number plates nor is the car fixed and it’s end of August.

To me it's ***** to pull a client's contract without her acknowledgement which they did and I called the F and I lady she was very rude and said they knew I was coming that is why they pulled the contract without my knowledge which is wrong and I don't understand how the business operate to pull a contract without a client's consent

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from the Randburg Kia dealership regarding a referral fee that was promised to me. Before my mother purchased her new vehicle through a trade-in, the salesperson, Cynthia, and her manager, Shaun, promised that I would receive a R2,000 referral (finder’s) fee for referring her to the dealership. Based on that assurance, I referred my mother, and she proceeded with the purchase. Since the sale, my messages have been ignored, and I have received no explanation. What concerns me even more is that I was asked to submit several personal documents to process the referral payment, including a copy of my ID, driver’s licence, SARS tax document, bank confirmation letter, my banking details, and to complete additional paperwork. I provided everything requested in good faith. Despite handing over sensitive personal information, nothing has been done, and no one has had the courtesy to update me or explain what is happening. To make matters worse, during the trade-in process my mother was promised that the instalment deducted from her previous vehicle before the trade-in was finalized would be refunded in full. However, only a partial refund was paid, with no proper explanation as to why the full amount was not refunded. This has further damaged our confidence in the dealership and raises concerns about whether commitments made during the sales process are genuinely honored. It has now been four weeks without any direction or meaningful communication. My concern is not only the outstanding referral fee but also the way we have been treated throughout this process. Customers should not be promised incentives to secure a sale, asked to submit confidential personal information, and then be ignored once the dealership has achieved its objective. Likewise, commitments made during a vehicle purchase and trade-in should be honored transparently and professionally. Based on our experience, I find the dealership’s conduct to be misleading, unprofessional, and lacking in integrity. Professionalism, honesty, and communication should not end once a vehicle has been sold

SOLVED A PROBLEM THAT WAS NOT THEIRS
We had an issue with a brand new KIA which the dealer who sold it to us did not sort out. Randburg KIA took on the issue and got it fixed for us. Although the car was under warranty - being a new vehicle - it was not their sale but they tackled the problem for us and got the problem sorted. I thank them for excellent service and problem solving in a very difficult time. The Dealer Principal is a man of Principal and we are their clients forever going forward.

KIA's Unresponsive Customer Care for Ongoing Defect
I am writing to report a recurring technical issue with my KIA vehicle and a complete lack of response from KIA Customer Care. During a routine service at an authorised KIA dealership a few weeks ago, several failing bulbs were replaced. This was not the first time these bulbs have needed replacement, indicating an ongoing, recurring problem rather than a simple part failure. The replacement during service was a temporary measure. The core issue, why these bulbs fail prematurely, remains unaddressed and unresolved. On 29 December 2023, I emailed KIA's official customer care to report this persistent problem and to seek a definitive, lasting resolution. To date, I have received no acknowledgment of this email, and certainly no substantive response. This silence is unacceptable. A proper resolution requires diagnosing the root cause, not just repeatedly replacing the same bulbs. To date KIA's customer service has failed to engage on this issue at all. I expect KIA to: 1. Acknowledge my communication from 29 December. 2. Investigate and provide a permanent fix for this recurring bulb failure, not just another temporary replacement.
